Our mission is to implement and continuously offer an affordable, safe public transportation system for all residents in Meigs County.
Vision
Meigs County Public Transit’s vision to be an effective, sustainable public transportation system for economic opportunity and development for our communities. We envision a future in which residents can meet their independent needs without owning a vehicle through an easy and efficient way to get places they need to go.
Meigs County Public Transit provides demand response, curb-to-curb public transportation service within Meigs County, Ohio. Door-to-door service is also available upon request for those needing reasonable assistance beyond the curb.
Meigs County Public Transit offers free transportation to all residents within Meigs County, Ohio and the town of Mason, West Virginia.
Trips are scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Meigs County Public Transit operates as shared-ride service, offering that passengers may be on board the vehicle with others who are traveling at the same time and in the same direction.
